Join us at the Stephentown Library for a morning of crafting and socializing. 

Are you excited for a summer full of fun and creativity? As part of our Summer Reading Program, the library is sponsoring five performances for local children that celebrate the dynamic nature of the arts.

Come make your own unique monster using part of a pool noodle and craft supplies!

After visiting with the therapy pigs, come on in and make a pig of your very own to bring home! This adorable "Rocking Piggies" craft is made using a simple paper plate folded in half to create a fun rocking motion.

Shrinky Dinks are a magical craft that lets you draw, design, and then watch your creations shrink and harden in the oven!

Tie Dying at SML: Saturday, July 26 at 11:00

Let's get colorful at the library! We will have everything that you need to tie dye large cotton bags. If you'd like to tie dye a t-shirt or any other item, please bring it with you.

Come to the library for a day of endless imaginative play! The large foam blocks are just right for creative construction and pretend play for any age.

We are excited to announce that the 2nd Annual Cohoes Library Comic Con will take place Saturday, July 26th from 11 AM - 4 PM at the Cohoes Public Library, located at 10 Cayuga Plaza, Cohoes, NY. Mark your calendars!

Join the lively Beau-Knitters group, a community of knitting and crocheting enthusiasts where all experience levels are welcome. Enjoy the camaraderie, stay for the creative vibes! No experience, cost, or registration fee required.

This summer, Mary Jo will be bringing the magic with her once again for this Fairy House Making program! We had so much fun with this program last year, we decided to bring it back.

Bring your fiber crafts!

Learn the basic of sewing with local seamstress, Dianne Mosher!  She will teach us how to sew a simple project on a sewing machine.  All supplies will be provided.  Registration is encouraged but not required.

Diane Chalavoutis, DPS Art Teacher, will be here to create beautiful rainbow landscapes with watercolors. For kids in grades K-2.

Messy Play includes fingerpainting, sidewalk chalk, sensory bags, paper mâché, slime.

Maker Space includes beading, foil crafts, paper mâché, paper bead making, paper crafts, watercolor painting, plastic lace crafts

Join us to mix your own kinetic sand, stay and play, and then bring some home too!

Crafternoon summer series:  Glow in the Dark Craft!  Our wooden DIY craft kit comes with wood disks, paints, stickers, gems, ornaments and other supplies to make your own decorative glow-in-the-dark item!

Every Thursday afternoon NGPL hosts a drop in "Crafternoon" for kids. Drop into the children's room between 3:00 and 5:00 to participate. There will be a different craft activity each week.

Join us Friday afternoons at the library for knitting, crocheting, sewing, conversation and more!

Check out our Adult Coloring program! We have all kinds of markers and colored pencils and adult coloring books for you to use. Gather around the table and make new friends while enjoying some peaceful coloring.

In Stitches is our knitting and crochet group that meets every Wednesday at 6pm. Members include seasoned crafters and complete beginners. Our group is excited to teach new comers!
