Do You Love a Good Mystery?

Since about 2009, a group has been meeting at the Cohoes Public Library on the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 10:30 am to make new friends and to discuss one of the most beloved genres of all time – mysteries.

Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30. Join us for books, movement, singing, and play! Geared towards ages 0-5, but all are welcome. 

Come visit us during the farmers market at 32nd Street, Troy (Outside the Music Hall), for a concert of original music by some of our favorite Diver songwriters to celebrate International Make Music Day!

Free guitar, ukulele, and piano lessons for all ages. Every Saturday except (July and August). 45 minute lessons @ (10am,11am, 12pm) are available by appointment only. Please email Nick at director@diverlibrary.org to schedule.

Join us on Wednesday mornings for Storytime with Mr. Dave.  Enjoy stories, songs and rhymes while practicing early literacy skills, followed by a simple crafts and playtime.

Free guitar, ukulele, and piano lessons for all ages. Every Saturday except (July and August). 45 minute lessons @ (10am,11am, 12pm) are available by appointment only. Please email Nick at director@diverlibrary.org to schedule. 

Enjoy a 50 minute video-led dance class, all are welcome!  If you've done a Zumba class, you'll fit right in.  First class is free,  we encourage a $5 donation to the library for subsequent classes.

Join the lively Beau-Knitters group, a community of knitting and crocheting enthusiasts where all experience levels are welcome. Enjoy the camaraderie, stay for the creative vibes! No experience, cost, or registration fee required.

Herb Club: It’s Picnic Time!

Bring an herbal drink, dip or snack to share and celebrate summer! Bring the recipe and we will put them together!

Join us every Friday for LEGO building challenges and board games! Bring your friends, pick a game, and have some fun!

Summer kickoff on the library lawn. Dress to mess.

Drop in between 3:30pm and 6pm to build.  We supply the legos, you supply the imagination!

Every Thursday afternoon NGPL hosts a drop in "Crafternoon" for kids. Drop into the children's room between 3:00 and 5:00 to participate. There will be a different craft activity each week.

Join us Friday afternoons at the library for knitting, crocheting, sewing, conversation and more!  

We’ll be holding our Book Buddy Training for Tweens & Teens on Tuesday 6/17. We are also taking sign-ups for elementary students to practice their reading skills with the older students one hour each week during the summer.

Check out our Adult Coloring program! We have all kinds of markers and colored pencils and adult coloring books for you to use. Gather around the table and make new friends while enjoying some peaceful coloring.

Bubble Painting for Teens and Adults: Friday, June 20 at 5:00

Join us for an evening of painting using different bubble techniques. This class is for teens and adults only. 

Calling all writers and non-writers for fun writing workshops!  No experience necessary.  All you you need is a pen and paper.  Our Creative Writing Workshops are presented by local children's book author, Star Donovan!

Come join us at the Cohoes Public Library on Wednesday, June 18th at 6PM as we host the Audubon Society for an evening of learning about local birds!

In Stitches is our knitting and crochet group that meets every Wednesday at 6pm. Members include seasoned crafters and complete beginners. Our group is excited to teach new comers!

Join us for Open Mic Night, where we invite local performance artists of all kinds to gather and share their art at the library. Sign-up for walk-in performers begins at 5:45 pm.

Monthly meeting of the library's Board of Trustees. Members of the public are welcome to attend. 

All are welcome to join us for the monthly meeting of the Stephentown Memorial Library Board of Trustees. Attendees can join in person at the library on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00.

Tuesday is Storytime Day at Altamont Free Library! Join Ms. Meg for a super fun morning of stories, songs, movement, and crafts every Tuesday morning in the Community Room at AFL (or on the library patio if the weather is nice)!
