Death of the Author by Nnedi Okorafor
September brings Death of the Author by Nnedi Okorafor, a bold and thought-provoking exploration of identity, legacy, and the complex interplay between creator and creation. In this gripping and inventive narrative, Okorafor challenges traditional boundaries by blending African folklore with speculative fiction, while questioning the authority of authorship itself. As the story delves into themes of cultural reclamation, artistic ownership, and the intersections of personal history and public perception, Death of the Author invites readers to rethink the power dynamics of storytelling. With Okorafor’s trademark imagination and incisive commentary, this novel is an exhilarating journey through the blurred lines of narrative control and self-discovery.
