Join the Arch Stanton Quartet for Exploring the Sheltering Sky — a free jazz performance inspired by the music and writing of Paul Bowles. This unique event blends original compositions, readings, and reflections drawn from Bowles’ acclaimed 1949 novel The Sheltering Sky and his career as a composer.
Featuring drummer and program director James Ketterer, who lived and worked across North Africa, the performance evokes Bowles’ enduring influence on art, travel, and sound.
